Patented Turbines for
Low-cost electricity from flowing water

Three new patents can produce GREEN energy from flowing water: 1)under the bridge or 2)along seawalls or 3)around boats or yachts. These low-cost, patented turbines can be attached to bridge columns or walls to produce electricity to supply to homes or to the electric grid.
While the water turbine is immersed in the moving water, the coupled electrical systems will float above the water level. All idle bridge columns standing in moving water can become energy producers.

The secret of the low-cost electricity:
The cost of installing the bridge columns in moving water is already incurred and associated with the cost of the bridge.

These patents take advantage of existing bridge columns and add to it the water turbine and alternators/generators.

The total cost will be a small fraction of the total cost of installing a bridge column as well as the turbine and generator system.

This ensures that the cost of producing electricity from moving water will be very low compared to even wind turbines, which are installed on expensive towers. The total electricity produced by water turbines attached to the many bridge columns in the pictures above can be substantial.

See Prototypes 1 and 2 on the right. Prototype 2, which is below is much smaller and is good for small streams. Click on "Prototypes" at the top to go to the prototypes page with more information on prototypes.

Smaller versions of the the patented turbines can be attached to sea walls near homes to produce electricity for homes. Even smaller turbines can be hung on the side of stationary boats and yachts to produce electricity to charge batteries or power equipment, when the water around the boat/yacht is moving.
